Collect
Global demand for raw materials is on the rise. It is therefore important to use raw materials more sparingly and more wisely. Due to targets set by central government (circular economy) and legislation and regulations concerning, amongst other things, single-use plastics (ban on single-use plastics), sustainable raw materials management is becoming increasingly important for event and festival organisers.
One of the most important steps in the field of raw materials management is reducing waste and creating raw materials.
We do this by, amongst other things:
- Defining the different types of raw materials for each stream;
- Quantifying the types of raw materials;
- Establishing raw material regions and drawing up an action plan for each raw material region;
- Determining the required allocation of materials and staff based on the above data;
As a raw materials collector, we are responsible for the raw materials generated during the set-up and dismantling periods and during the festival or event itself. We monitor these raw materials and regard them as valuable products. We ensure that these raw materials are processed to the highest possible standard. In doing so, we always make the choice that is best and most feasible for the organisation at that time. We work with partners whom we trust and who are just as transparent as we are. Afterwards, we always provide evidence regarding the correct handling and processing of the raw materials removed.
As standard, we collect the following materials separately (where available): paper/cardboard, glass, tins, (r)PET cups and wood. Optional materials include organic waste, plastic film and PMD.
Over the past few years, we have gained a great deal of experience with cup collection systems that help to comply with legislation and regulations relating to single-use plastics. As a result, we understand better than anyone how important it is to treat this raw material with care and to carry out the associated services with precision and attention to detail.
We use suitable collection containers for collecting raw materials on site. These include, for example, 240-litre and 1,100-litre wheelie bins, wooden collection containers and plastic bag holders. Our collection containers can be fitted with clear and accurate signage.
